It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evangelos VOYATZIS at the age of 87.

C’est avec grande tristesse et le cœur lourd que nous vous annonçons le décès de Evangelos VOYATZIS , à l’âge de 87 ans.

 

Vangeli dedicated his life to his family and his faith. He was a husband, father, grandfather,
brother and uncle whose love was constant and unwavering. He has left a deep void in the
hearts of his beloved wife Fedra, his cherished daughters Angela and Helen (Gerry) and his
treasured grandchildren Phaedra, Vasiliki and Dionysi.
Vangeli was a humble man with a beautiful soul who showed patience, love, loyalty and
kindness to everyone who was fortunate to be a part of his life. His infectious smile, good
humour and welcoming demeanour will be sorely missed.
He will forever be deeply connected to his siblings Chrysanthi and Filimon, who shared a
rare bond which was both unique and powerful. His love for his sister Smaragda and
sister-in-law Elpida, and their love for him was immense. His nieces and nephews whom he
loved and adored, John (Peggy), Billy (Tania), Fedra (Ralph), Flora, Yanni, Giorgo, Fedra
and Michali will deeply miss his presence.
Vangeli was devoted to his faith and his church, St Nicholas of Laval, where he dedicated
over forty years of service as head Cantor. His legacy opens the pathway as a model of
faith and devotion to the church and its community. He will forever live in our hearts and
minds.
Evangele μου, the foundation of our family, our revered Cantor, God rest your soul and may
your memory be eternal.
Ο Θεός να σε ανάπαυση. Αιώνια σου η μνήμη. Καλό Παράδεισο.
