It is with profound sadness that Luba and Lesia announce the passing of their beloved brother
Peter Zinko.
Peter's steadfast devotion to his Ukrainian Catholic Faith, instilled by his loving parents,
Petro & Sylvia, sustained and comforted him throughout his life.
A life that saw many blessings, as well as health challenges later in life.
His gift of song lead him to musical theatre, most notably in the role of Inspector Javert in
Les Misérables, a bilingual stage production in which he performed in both French and English, touring across North America.
In addition, he was a cast member of the play Jeanne La Pucelle,
as well as countless other performances.
Singing was his pure joy, inherited from our grandfather "dido Prokop" and our mother who sang
each and every day. Now, through God's love, it was time to "Bring Him Home",
as in the song from Les Misérables, sung by his favourite Irish Tenor, Colm Wilkinson.
Rest peacefully among the "Stars",
your unforgettable solo, also from Les Misérables.
We will all be looking up in the evening sky!

It is with a very heavy heart that I extend my deepest sympathy to both of you on Peter’s passing. We spoke regularly,where we would reminisce, laugh and discuss life. Early February was our last conversation. As always, he ended with “ God Bless цьоцю”. It’s hard not to wish for one more chance to say goodbye. I will miss those calls. God Bless Петруньо. I will always remember Petro with great fondness. From our early years at CYM camp, to later being councillors together at Werchvyna, then followed by many road trips to CYM Ellenville, or to New York City and Wildwood. We shared great times and endless laughter. He was fun loving and a great friend. I will always remember Petro with fondness and with a smile on my face, and will value his friendship. Luba and Lesia, A wonderful voice has been silenced but will remain with us always. Peter enjoyed the few weeks he spent visiting me .He loved sitting at a local park and enjoying nature and attending the sunflower festival ,while meeting with my family and friends.
