“Grief, a suffering to be understood”. Grieving is the normal experience when losing a loved one, a void that accompanies the departure of someone close to your heart.  It is a process that may be long, can extend from over several months to even some years.  Greater the affection for the person,  more the grieving may be intense.  It is important to understand that each individual responds in this own way to such an ordeal and the intensity of emotions does not necessarily equal the depth of the pain.

It is especially IMPORTANT to express one’s grief in various forms – to cry is one, make farewell rituals to mark the departure, is another.  The more one trys to evade or trivialize the death of a loved one, greater the damage in the future (depression, alcoholism, drug abuse, suicide etc.).
